Accidents and severe burns mainly affect (young) children. Burns leave behind physical and psychological scars that can last a lifetime. This is why fire prevention is so important. The right reflexes can prevent accidents.
Raising children's and young people's awareness of the basic principles of fire prevention in a fun and educational way is a crucial mission, and our team of highly motivated fire prevention advisors can help you with this.
Primary Schools
Become a Firefighting Helper
Did you know that the Brussels Fire Brigade sets up educational collaborative projects with primary schools? It is never too early to learn the right reflexes!
Each collaboration begins with training for interested teachers. The first part of the training is an introduction to fire safety. The second part is dedicated to the educational game. At the end of the project, our team comes to award the diplomas and organizes a final activity for the children.
If the school wishes, we can also organize fire safety training sessions
for extracurricular staff and parents.
Parents of students and school staff residing in the Brussels Capital Region can
also request a free home visit
from one of our fire prevention advisors.
Do you also want to contribute to a safer society in terms of fire safety?

Other topics covered include carbon monoxide poisoning, risky behaviors and fire, the Brussels Fire Cadets, and how to become a firefighter or fire officer.
Parents of students and school staff residing in the Brussels Capital Region can also request a free home visit from one of our fire prevention advisors.
